cha/mail/postponed-mail/PLAIN; CHARSET=US-ASCII (1) besides the songs they cover already, what is the ideal song Dave Matthews Band should cover. What song would you love for them to cover? *I think They could do cool things with Crosstown Traffic... Staying Alive, would be interesting as well.. G (2) What song that they play moves you the most? Why? *I absolutly love I'll Back You Up. When I first knew him, he used to play it all the time, so I suppose that's why. I think it's a great song... Best of What's Around moves me in a different kind of way... but I'd say I'll Back You Up is probably the stronger of the two (3) Is there any bands out there that you would like to see cover a DMB song? *I don't think there are many bands that could do justice to DMB, but maybe this groovy band from Orlando whose name I can't for the life of me remember at the moment...damn, I was just listening to them, too.... (4) give me one positive thing about WWYS. *It exposed a lot of people to DMB who might have been isnpired to go out and buy the album otherwise. And now people at least have heard of the Dave MAtthews Band so that when I start going off about it, they at least have a point of referrence... (5) What is yor personal interpretation of warehouse? * I would have to go with a Gilligan's Island revisited theme ont his one...no, honestly, I'm gonna pass on this one...I don't wanna take up valuable bandwidth going into my personal philosophy on anything...I can get rather longwinded at times, especially when I am procrastinating on a project that's due tomorrow... :) So, there ya go...your questions...I know I'm not the first, but if anyone else wants to reward me for my hard work by sending me a tape, I won't mind a bit... *smile* ArichaTop Permalink
THIS IS JUST AN IDEA, as I don't have nearly the number of boots necessary to pull it off, but I think it'd be pretty cool if someone mixed up a DMB cover plenty of material to choose from. If anyone likes the idea and wants to make it, e-mail me and we'll work out a trade for it. CYATop Permalink

The second question is in regard to the newsletter that you sign up for at live shows. How often does the thing come out and what's it like? Thanks in advace for the info. This message is for all the people who have my list and have not sent blanks yet. I can no longer do this offer as finals are nearing and I originally posted this offer a long time ago and if you have my list, you've had a long time to send blanks. Sorry if this inconveniences anyone but I think I helped quite a few people out so I don't feel as bad. Everybody who lives in/will be in Chicago for the summer contact me and we'll swap tapes and keep each other informed about shows. Peace - Rick "Nine planets round the sunTop Permalink

To all Dave fans, I need some help with something. I have 25 hours of Dave to trade and some Freddy Jones with anyone who has any HQ Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley or other classic rock stuff. Sorry for the lack of Dave content and the waste of bandwidth but this is for a close friend of mine. questions as best I could. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------- (1) besides the songs they cover already, what is the ideal song them to cover? Daniel's Band. It would be great to see Boyd do this song! (2) What song that they play moves you the most? Why? times and it just sets the whole tone for the evening. Dave introducing it with guitar, Carter and Stefan join in followed by Leroi...well you get the point. It brings you into the concert one instrument at a time and by the end, everyone is just jamming away and Dave's screaming all nonsensical ramblings and there is just a huge amount of passion and emotion that you can sense. By the end of it, I'm just in awe and am ready for the rest of a fantastic evening. The only downside that I can see to it is that there is Roseland, NYC. (3) Is there any bands out there that you would like to see cover a DMB song? No way. No one could do them justice. (4) give me one positive thing about WWYS. Personally, I don't mind WWYS too much. I know it's not one of Dave's literary masterpieces, but I still think it's a good tune. Also, I don't really listen to the radio (or watch MTV) so I never hear it being overplayed. (5) What is your personal interpretation of warehouse? Like someone else's post, I mainly listen to this song for the music and not the lyrics. I've tried to formulate an interpretation of the lyrics, but there are a few parts of the song that I don't really understand. Anyway, change around you as you progress and do different things, and trying to remember from where you came. The Warehouse, IMO, is all of your past experiences stored up inside your head. Dave is saying, "Remember your past and act appropriately." "Don't throw away your playful beginnings" while you "fumble around" trying to find your way in life. tend to think that there are two different characters in the song. The first person is the one who is quoted in the introduction. The middle of the song is narrated by an elder (possibly dead) person advising the younger person about life. Finally, the conclusion has the young person looking forward to life, but realizing that he must remember who he is. Warehouse frightens me. Has me tied up in knots, can't rest for a moment. than I've got inside of here. The Warehouse slips away." At this instance, it appears as if it is a young person trying to flee from his past and create a new and better future. This could be likened to a person's early years when they want to go out and try new things and see what the world is all about. younger person (A from now on) in the introduction "Hey reckless mind, don't throw away your playful beginnings." As I stated earlier, B tells A to remember his past while he fumbles around looking for a direction in life. apparent when A questions what he is doing in his life after thinking long while staring down at the sidewalk. ("Becoming one in a million, slip into the crowd, this question I found in the gap in the sidewalk.) A is beginning to lose his identity and questions what he is doing in life. and forget who they really are. It is not explicitly stated here, but I think that the black cats "sell out" and are not true to themselves in order to obtain certain things, be it money, fame, prestige, etc. This thought is supported later in the song when Dave writes, "When it's not the colors that matter." B reminds A that those things are not important as "soon I'll fade away, I'll fade away." he finds the pleasure in life again. "This I admit tastes so good." But now he is bewildered by the fact that it all must come to an end. "Hard to believe an end to it. How could this rhythm ever quit? Bags packed on a plane, hopefully to Heaven." He realizes the finality of his life and just hopes that he will go to Heaven (i.e.--that he has led a good life). disappear." It is hard to say who is talking at this time. If I wanted to support my two person theory, I would say it is B, but it's hard to follow exactly. love I love to stay here..." At this point, due to the advice from B, A realizes the importance of his past and is happy about who he is. Instead of his thoughts at the beginning of the song ("Hoping to find something better, the Warehouse slips away") he now questions if anything could be better than what he already has. Is it worth it trying to change who I am, or should I just enjoy being who I am? "A" finally gives out his own advice when he tells, "Every man and woman get alive!" Live your life the way you want to. "fade away." the Warehouse bare and empty." Here it seems as if it is one last warning against selling out. Don't overwork yourself or the Warehouse will be bare and empty and you will forget who you are. the lack of structure. I know there are a few instances when it's hard to tell which person is which, but hey, I didn't say it was perfect. Also I apologize to any females out there who got pissed off by my referring to the two characters as males. It just made it a hell of a lot easier for me to write. What is the most worthless band played on the radio? This is not a fair question. There are too many worthless bands out there IMHO. My$.02 -Jeff P.S.--Any constructive criticism (please no flames) on my Warehouse interpretation are welcomed.Top Permalink
hello minareters, but a long time Dave Matthews fan. This may be hard to believe but it's the truth seeing how I just figured what century i live in and got a computer. I was never aware of the taping policy of DMB. I brought a recorder to the dmb concert here in milwaukee on march 15th (1995), but the dumb security guard took it. I was wondering what I could do to get a hold of good tapes of past shows. My mom (bless her heart) always said ask and you shall receive. i've asked. I am an honest person with a funny name who will do almost anything to get some good music. I hope I haven't wasted too much of your time. please e-mail me personally if we can work anything out. Hey all, was WWYS and before they showed it, the VJ said that there had been a rumor pervading the internet about Dave and AIDS. He then went on to say that the band's manager had released an on-line statement denying this. He reported that Dave and band had just returned from Europe, played on SNL, shot a new video for their second release (called it by name) and was continuing with a rigorous touring schedule. He then introduced the vid by saying, "Here's a healthy Dave Matthews and his band with What Would You Say." anybody else need more rumor-dispelling truth? Lottsa spoons and hugs... I don't know how original these questions will be but it's worth a shot... (1) besides the songs they cover already, what is the ideal song Dave Matthews Band should cover. What song would you love for them to cover? Dylan's Rainy Day Women #12 & 36 (I think thats the correct name....please no phlames if I am wrong). How much fun would Dave have singing this??????? (2) What song that they play moves you the most? Why? Recently - the suprise lyrics at the beginging (Norwegian Wood, Dancing in the Streets, On Broadway, Take Me to the River....) and the kick ass jam in the middle....takes my spedometer to a place my car has never gone before. (3) Is there any bands out there that you would like to see cover a DMB song? Hendrix covering Tripping Billies?????? (4) give me one positive thing about WWYS. Its been said before, but its exposed DMB to a whole new group of fans and the video is kinda cool. (5) What is yor personal interpretation of warehouse? I'm not even gonna try..... Hey Dan - i like this thread - thanks for the idea! RichTop Permalink
Anybody know something about this song. I saw it on the homepage, and didn't have a copy of it. I guess it might be on Big League Chew, but my copy is in the mail. Also, does anyone want to trade for it? I've got 50hrs now and have 30 more on the way...Thanks in advance, Creg Bradley cgbradle@email.unc.eduTop Permalink
I hate to rash everybody with personal business but it is important. Whoever owes me tapes (i.e. Jen Fogelson, Jeff Epperson, et al.), I NEED THEM ASAP. I am graduating in 2 1/2 weeks and if you don't send them now they will never get sent. Exams are coming up and you know that you don't want to deal with my tapes during exams. Sorry for those of you who don't owe me tapes and for those of you who do- I trade quickly, please do the same. MarkTop Permalink

If there is anyone left here with real taping experience? I am looking for information on what is required for a soundboard patch. Indecision is having a reunion gig here on Fri. and I'd like to tape it. I figure they won't mind, since I have an old sdbd tape of them. My question is what I need to get a hold of to do this, especially keeping in mind the fact that they may have someone random on the sdbd who knows little about it as well. I know its certain wires, but I don't know which. Any other advice would be appreciated too. E-mail responses are requested. ericETop Permalink

Danny-Boy, I loved your post...I thrive on these kinds of questions and the conversations they produce. so here are my answers... 1) I wouldn't mind hearing them do "Melissa" by the Allmann Brothers or "Perfect Blue Buildings" by Counting Crows. 2) I hate to go with the obvious but, emotionally speaking, nothing moves me as much as "I'll Back You Up". It's lyrics apply so eerily to my life (I'm sure others as well) that it gets me every time. But what moves my BUTT?!..."Jimi Thing"!!!!! 3) I've heard Jackopierce cover them and it's good. But what band that I haven't heard yet?...I'd have to say REM doing "Lover Lay Down",...how's that for left field? 4) Good thing about WWYS...the lyric, "When the morning rise , a life- time's passed me by." (And Dave's delivery of it). 5) I'm going to use some space on this one...I've been into Warehouse lately because the first few times I listened to the album it was my least favorite song, but now it's one of my favorites. I think that it's message is to enjoy the moment and not because of its future projections, because nothing lasts...even the great things. Basically, he's in a Warehouse (a large, empty building which represents the void left by great people and events when they fade away) and decides that he's sick of living with empty things so instead of holding on to the past, he is going to appreciate everything for the here and now. Thus the line..."When it's not the colors that matter, but that they'll all fade away." I guess I won't expound on this anymore..it's just, I think, about the inevitable loss of things in this life and maybe that accepting and embracing that is healthier than resisting it. (Easier said than done, I might add). WORST BAND ON THE RADIO...Stone Temple Pilots (by a good margin). Thanks for providing me with these cool questions... JohnTop Permalink

It was a great show. I was there and it would me a lot to me if I could get it. I have plenty to trade. One of the best shows I have is from Madison, Wisconsin, 11/94. A quality, and I don't think many people have it. Please reply directly to me. Thanx. Ben FrenchTop Permalink
Yep! The first round of answers have come in, and they are to say the least very interesting... Keep them coming in. You can send them to me personally, and i plan to tally the results. Or send them to the net, that way everyone can see what you write. Hopefully these questions will spark some interesting conversations... I suspect there will be a whole new round of answers coming, now that everyone has the digest. I believe the winner of the newbie offer is the one and only Abigail Lynn Goldstein. If you want the tape Abigail, email me personally and we'll set iy up... the question about Warehouse. I suggest you send that here, so everyone can read it. It really was the type of answer I was hoping for. Its reasons like that that make DMB such a great band... The tally on the "Worst band on the radio" poll will be posted probably on Friday. It will include tallies from both the minarets responses and the is the most worthless band on the radio? Answer either to me or the net.... Has anyone out there ever heard of HECTOR? He's an amazing musician, and I highly recommend him. I have a bootleg of him that I taped when he was up here last week. I asked him if would be cool him I passed it out to whoever was interested in getting a copy, and he said it was alright as long as I didn't charge you all for it. He also says "Hi". Have fun... Well, I have an odd request for all you. My final paper for my mass media class requires me to write about my favorite band. (It took my AI about two seconds to guess who I intended to write about). The key to this paper is to look critically at DMB and how they fit into the broad catagory of music. I need to analyze lyrics, compare old to new DMB, read interviews, and interview fans. I knew who I needed to talk to immediately... So, for anyone who is interested in helping out a lowly freshman at Indiana University, I welcome anyone's insight on DMB's place in music. The general outlook is to prove that DMB will never hold a place in history as the artists of the 60s because our generation doesn't have a crisis and Dave will never be THE hero to all. He can only be a hero to some. I need to look at the messages in his songs to find Dave's outlook. In addition, in light of all the recent talk about "selling out" I need to decide if Dave has indeed given up and succumbed to the pressure of the bandwagon audience or if he has remained loyal to his origional direction. I value and welcome all of your opinions. You are welcome to e-mail me personally or discuss on the board. I will be keeping track of everyone's thoughts. So, if you are bored, drop me any of your thoughts one the above aspects of DMB. THANKS SO MUCH for your help. Only in college would I have the opportunity to do this.... -Stephanie has/hasn't changed??? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I find sometimes it's easy to be myself. ~~~ DAVE MATTHEWS Sometimes I find it's better to be somebody else. ~~~ BAND ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ Stephanie Marie Hintersehr Willkie North #812 Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana 47406 shinters@indiana.edu (812) 857-7605 _____________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________Top Permalink
so, are you saying just because someone is into drug use such as cocaine or heroine that their career is going to fall apart? This whole subject should fall into the same category as sexual preference, meaning, it is none of your business. If the band for some reason ceases to exist soley because of drug abuse, feel free to post a big "I told you so" but until then, don't worry about it. The guys are mature and responsible and can do whatever they want. Not to flame or harp on you, but that is just how i feel on the subject. later nathanTop Permalink

About a month ago, I posted the first draft of this paper. I received several great responses, but the draft was torn to shreds by my teacher. I decided to completely change it using as the central element a comment made by Keith. Thanks for all the input. And now for the long awaited analysis of "Ants Marching". Dave Matthews' song "Ants Marching" follows a young man through his regimented routine of weeks, months, or even years. Each morning he rises, and each night he returns to bed for a rejuvenating slumber. The pattern continues for what is eternity to the young man. In all that he does, the young man conforms to society's norm. He never breaks his routine or takes a chance, and for this the speaker of the poem condemns him. However, he does not believe that the young man is beyond hope. He urges him to take chances, lest he should leave his living death and enter the realm of those who breathe no longer. The young man, exemplifying the conformist lifestyle, represents the numerous obsessive fans with whom rock stars must deal; the speaker of the poem stresses that unless these fans want to become the brain-dead idiots they seem to be, they should take a moment to examine their condition. "Ants Marching" begins as an upbeat mixture of drums, fiddle, and saxophone, but the listener should not be confused by the music. Dave Matthews does not support the lifestyle of the conformist fans portrayed by the young man. He once said during a concert in Providence, RI, in October, 1994, that he often sings "a really happy, groovy song. . . about depressing things." One should, therefore, not mistake "Ants Marching" for a celebration of the lifestyle of the young man. It cries to the obsessive fan, screaming at him to live his own life and to learn to detest the conformity that he now exemplifies. The song's title alone leaves no doubt that the speaker abhors conformity. A marching ant epitomizes conformity, yet, at the same time, it condemns it for a human. What self-respecting man, woman or child desires to resemble an ant in any way? Feeling the size of an ant insults one's very integrity. Before the first note is played, the audience knows that the speaker of "Ants Marching" does not support conformist behavior. Dave Matthews portrays his main character, the conformist young man, in a very unflattering manner. The lack of a name renders the young man without identity. He is just another male human. One might see him anywhere, in any city or suburb, at any time of day. His daily routine is regimented, whether by choice or not. He rises, eats, brushes his teeth, and "he's rolling". This pattern continues for countless numbers of weeks, but the young man displays no desire to break it. His girlfriend, the epitome of the conformist female, and the symbol of the obsessive female fan, ponders their relationship, but she, too, takes no action. She thinks, we look at each other Wondering what the other is thinking But we never say a thing And these crimes between us grow deeper The young woman cannot break her own personal mold and take a chance. She finds herself incapable of expressing herself to the young man, yet she blames him for his reciprocated silence. The speaker of the poem alludes here to the lack of personal expression given by obsessive rock fans. Every one of them is the same. The third verse of "Ants Marching" depicts a scene from the home of the young man's mother. The young man, paying a visit to her, cannot help thinking about the past. He "remembers being small/ Playing under the table and dreaming" about his future plans. He had great aspirations as a child, but then, as now, he hid from his opportunities. The symbolism created by the child "playing under the table" makes clear his true feelings of fear and bewilderment. The shy fear he exhibits even forces him to refer to his mom as "mommy". The obsessive rock fan is still afraid and bewildered. As a defense mechanism, he resorts to imitating those around him, rather than gaining respect through originality. The young man's habit of imitation renders him one of many, "driving along this highway" called life. He is but one of millions of cars on the road. "All these cars and upon the sidewalk/ People in every direction" fail to communicate with each other. When reading the poem, it is these people who are on the sidewalk, but the song allows Dave Matthews to provide a double-meaning for this couplet. When sung, the first line becomes "All these cars end up on the sidewalk". The speaker, with this line, warns obsessive fans not to hide behind the veil of conformity, for if they continues to do so, they will be thrust rudely from the highway of life and find themselves on the outside. To evade this cruel fate they must break their silence for it renders them nothing more than ants marching. The extended metaphor dictates that they differ in no way from the billions of little red and black insects which inhabit this world. This parallels the opinion of the speaker and of Dave Matthews concerning obsessive fans. One source says, "I was having lunch with [Dave Matthews] once and he made his french fries dance and started singing. . . and he said, 'at least these have more identity than crowd surfers and pseudo-deadheads.'" The final verse finds hope for the chronic conformist and even gives meaning to the upbeat harmony of "Ants Marching" in spite of Dave Matthews' comment about his habit of singing happy songs about tragic events. Keeping the spirit of change, it ceases to speak about the young man, and rather, speaks to him, and to the audience. Even the rhythm of the lyrics changes, becoming much more rapid and symbolizing a greater vitality. It depicts two separate scenarios. The first is that of someone trapped in a weight loss program which tortures them. The speaker of the poem finds unhappy. He or she is being forced to withstand horrible pressure in order to lose weight and therefore please others. The speaker urges this person to "cut the corners" of this program, to leave a "loose end", if only for his or her own happiness and sanity. The second scenario is quite similar. The issue is unclear, but the concerned party is "on the fence, not to offend". The speaker finds fault in this person's judgment. Why should he or she worry about offending others? His or her opinion should be known. The speaker tells him or her to take chances, to "cut cut cut cut". If the chances are "placed in a box until a quieter time", all is lost. The result, with allusion to the his or her life. It is extreme to say that conformity kills, but in a way this screams a symbolic truth. The conformist obsessive fan may as well be dead, for he contributes nothing new to life. The world needs only one of them. When Dave Matthews wrote "Ants Marching" he evidently felt anger and sorrow for those who lack the originality necessary to reject the conformist lifestyle. The speaker of his song hopes that obsessive fans will realize their fault and take strides toward change.Top Permalink

I would have to agree with the person who expressed disappointment with Spotlight. Although I've only heard one recording of it, my impression was just what he said, kinda one dimensional. Not that it's a bad song, but it's just so simple compared to much DMB's other music, which is so complex, ya know. I even wondered if it was a DMB tune, as it doesn't seem to resemble their other music. Anyway, just thought I'd agree!Top Permalink

Please don't believe any rumors you hear. It could be true, but just remember how the whole HIV thing spread, and it turned out to be a buch of bullshit. that the band never drinks before they play, and Dave said he was going to stop drinking period. I was talking to Carter last weekend and he was telling me about their old conga player, Miguel, who died from hepatitus he contracted through IV drug use. Carter said that the band had no idea he was doing that shit, and it seemed that it was a shocker and really disappointing. Also, Carter said that they got rid of the Ugly Americans because they were assholes, and because they were doing some "pretty weird shit." So I really don't think that DMB is using heroine, but who knows. Just trying to prevent more lame rumors.Top Permalink
Hello, out of the net for a good portion of the summer, I was looking for one last big trade. I have about 120hrs of DMB and was looking for others with a good list. Your list gets mine. ThanksTop Permalink
wait to subscribe. I live out here in the middle of New Mexico and am an absolute fan of good talent. The Dave Matthews Band has that talent. I don't care what the members of this band choose to do sexually or otherwise(i.e. drugs), it aint' none of my damn business or anyone else's for that matter I ENJOY the music that they play immensly and I thank god everyday for bringing the members of DMB together. As individuals they are talented musicians, but as a group, they become one. They behold every emmotion that I have ever felt in my life within ever one of their songs and for god's sake----THEY MAKE ME @##%%^^$ GROOVE!!!!!!! Stop bitchin' about what might be and take the band for what they are, they are only humans. BUT THEY REALLY GROOVE! Why must so many of you try to interpret what Dave's lyrics are tring to say, only he knows why he has written what he has. Spend some time trying to figure out what the music does for you, not why they play it. DMB moves so many people in so many ways who is to say what is correct and incorrect. I think so many of you are missing the point of DMB, and probably the point of PHISH and even possibly BLUES TRAVELER. Maybe even all music for that matter. Musicians don't play because they want to impress or because they want to be rich and famous, they play because they have an inner drive to make beautiful music, they do it for themselves first and if it becomes something that other people enjoy, well, all the better. We talk of these people as if they are immortal, as if what they are doing they are doing only for us. Believe me, they are not. Youi all complain of how WWYS is so "commercial" and a "sellout", I don't think that dave had this in mind when ghe wrote it or when it was put on UTTAD. It was the record company that decided that it might be a good promo. track to get people to listen to DMB. I have to admit that I myself am getting a little tired of the song, but ONLY BECAUSE it is the only DMB they play out here. I am a struggling guitarist and I hope that one day I may play an instrument half as well and with half as much feeling as the guysd in DMB.Top Permalink
Hi yall, Aragon Ballroon show this weekend? I seem to remember it being mentioned... I think the times were something like 10-2(late, not early), on the 20th and 21st. Haven't heard any word about it in awhile, though... could somebody who's in the know please post that info? C-ya... DanTop Permalink

When I last talked to Peter (about a month ago), he said that he left on totally good terms, and that he just couldn't hack touring and all of that being-away-from-the-family stuff involved with being a member of one of the greatest bands ever to be and dealing with a consultant that has too many run-on sentences. +------------------------+-------------------------------+ | Waldo L. For all of the retters in the Charlottesville/central Virginia area, the radio station WWWV (97.5 FM) will be broadcasting the DMB show in Nashville. It will be broadcast on Sunday at 11:00 pm. They broadcasted the show in the UVA Amphitheater and the sound came through fairly well. I taped the show off the radio and it also came out pretty well; the only tricky thing was editing out the comercials. If I have time, I will go to the station and do a board tape. (I work there part-time.) If I manage to muster the energy to do this, I'll make it available here. -Waldo +------------------------+-------------------------------+ | Waldo L. Some cool bands got their start there including REM and Widespread Panic. The GA Theater has a special meaning to me because they tossed my sorry ass out of there after trying to sneak in to see Dave last October.Top Permalink
****no BT,DMB,orEMB content*************************** O.K. Here it is. Ya'll have heard me rave about this band for a long time. Now is my chance to spread the word. I have a tremendous copy of this show from the Lake Matoaka Music Festival. The set is about an hour long, maybe a tiny bit less and it was a pretty stroong show. Now my recording is terrific!! I went through the dat that Everything's guy had set up and the sound is great. I am willing to make copies of this for anybody pretty much, and although traqdes would be nice, I would be happy to just copy them for anybody who sends me a tape to put it on and return postage. Please email me personally if you are interested. They are a terrific band.Top Permalink

The georgia theatre does exist. It's in Athens, home of the University of Georgia. It's one of Dave's favorite places to play, or so I've heard. And I think part of the WWYS video was filmed there...or it may have been something elsse for MTV. Anyway, the answer to your question is yes.Top Permalink

Since the school year is almost over, here is a list of my favorite bands that I have seen (and remember seeing) at bars and fraternity parties Also, if you're in the Chapel Hill area on Thursday, come over to HE's NOT HERE. Tri-delt is having their annual spring fling there with the Winebottles. It costs $6 at the door and the money goes to charity. (A friend asked me to post that, but it should be fun. It always is.) Also, has anyone heard Pete Droge's album. I bought it after hearing him on House of Blues a few weeks ago and it's pretty good. Sounds a little too much like Tom Petty at times though.Top Permalink
that Dave and Clapton are on similar wavelengths. Just a thought. mikey stevensonTop Permalink
