DMB + Flecktones Going back to the now-famous run of shows in late December 1996, banjoist Béla Fleck has been one of the most common and most beloved guests to sit in with DMB. But occasionally the whole band, Béla Fleck & the Flecktones, sit in (often while on a run of opening shows for DMB), leading to some of the longest performances of DMB songs in history (including all of the current top 10). This list focuses on the times at least 3 members of the band have guested with DMB together. The Flecktones lineup has changed somewhat throughout their 35+ year history, but members who have sat in with DMB include Béla Fleck (banjo), Victor Wooten (bass), Futureman (synthaxe drumitar), Paul McCandless (saxophone), of course Jeff Coffin who is now DMB's full time sax player and Howard Levy (harmonica) who rejoined the Flecktones after Jeff left and guested in 2025 for the first time.
