Dave Matthews Band (A Change Is Going To Come - John Kerry fundraising concert)
Rescheduled from June 10, 2004 due to the death of former President Reagan.

Dave Matthews Band played this fundraiser for John Kerry (D-MA) along with supporters Mary J. Blige, Jon Bon Jovi, John Mellencamp, Wyclef Jean, Whoopi Goldberg, and others. The show was originally to be on June 10th, but the death of President Ronald Reagan postponed the event. After the concert, Dave was quoted as saying, "It's beautiful to see someone who has a light in their eyes. Someone who understands politics, someone who speaks from the heart, as opposed to shooting from the hip."

The entire Dave Matthews Band joined Senator Kerry, his wife, and all musical guests for the concert finale, "This Land Is Your Land."

DMBand.com Road Page Notes
(From the DMB Road Page for 7.10.04)
...We had a fun time in New York this week at Radio
City playing for the John Kerry benefit. There were lots of
celebrities around for this one, many of whom could be found hanging
out in the DMB dressing room at some point throughout the evening.
Dave was given the honor of introducing the candidates and their
wives. It was a great moment to witness...
