A lover's kiss is better than Angels raining down on me.
This song debuted in early 1995 as "40 Always," a calm and mellow love song about devotion. After a string
of performances in the Spring Tour of 1995, the song disappeared altogether for 3 years.
In the summer of 1998, fans began bringing signs of #40 to shows and handing Dave tapes of the definitive Yoshi's
performance. That fall, the song started being teased
; finally to resurface in 1999 as a Dave solo feature.
The song has made a lot of appearances since summer 1999 to various extents. We require a partial version to at least go through the part of the song that usually has the word "always" (though occasionally other lyrics are sung during this part). A tease is anything short of that mark, and a full version is at least two verses and two choruses.
