Song History
The rain intro, often confused with the song known as 'Toy Soldiers', roled similarly as a segue in between 'Dancing Nancies' and 'Warehouse' during June of the Summer 1996 Tour

Its melody is very similar to the Warehouse riff chords. The Jones Beach show was the only time it contained substantial lyrics, thus getting its de facto name from Dave apparantly singing, "rain", even though he is more likely singing, "praying".

'Rain' was thought to have evolved into the more popular 'Toy Soldiers' and was thus forgotten. To this day most circulated recordings still list this intro as 'Toy Soldiers' even though it is clearly a different song.
