Dave first played this song during his solo performance from his house on 3.26.20. His vocal coach, RAab, said that night that its title is "Windows," and it was copyrighted that same day as such. When the song was broadcast on SiriusXM the following week, it was tagged as "Singing From the Windows." The official DMB Facebook page referred to it as "Shadows on the Wall" in a post on April 13. The song has been registered with ASCAP as both "Singing From the Windows" and "Shadows on the Wall."
