The Thing

This song, known for its complex alternating time signatures, was the only brand new song written and recorded on "Busted Stuff" and made its debut on the Spring 2002 Tour where it was one of the top 5 most played songs, and where a small Carter intro was evolved. Steve Harris, the producer for Busted Stuff, has said that the song was recorded during those sessions in a single day. Before the 9.18.07 performance, Dave says, "This is a song about being a little kid."
