This song originally appears on Soul Coughing's 1994 album, Ruby Vroom. The bassline is taken from the theme song to the 1960s cartoon Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse.

Dave's cover substitutes crew members and recording personnel into the lyrics, such as Jeff "Bagby" Thomas ("Bag-of-Bones"), John Alagia, and Monk Montgomery ("Monkey Monk"), instead of the various cities from the original lyrics.
