In the August 9, 1991 edition of The Daily Progress, a one-hour variety show with David VanDerveer was advertised with a write-up about this upcoming performance.

Written in the article, "Dave Matthews - from Live Arts Coffehouse Series fame - will be joining his friend in a few song and comedy skits. Robert Jospe [. . .] will liven up the act with his drums." Van Derveer says in the interview, "Dave and I will be doing most of the comedy and Jos will be drumming."
