Miami: National Anthem to be sung by Jose Feliciano, JoJo, Kelly Rowland and Jon Secada
MIAMI – Six prominent musicians of different genres will grace Stadium Court to sing the National Anthem prior to selected evening sessions at the 2007 Sony Ericsson Open being held at the Crandon Park Tennis Center on Key Biscayne.
The list of performers includes five-time Grammy winner Jose Feliciano, teen pop sensation JoJo, R&B artist Kelly Rowland of Destiny Child fame, Miami’s own singer Jon Secada, up-and-coming urban pop singer Melissa Jimenez and Dave Matthews Band’s Boyd Tinsley. They are all scheduled to perform once during the tournament.

In a change of pace, the Dave Matthews Band’s Tinsley will delight fans with his violin on Wednesday, March 28 at 6:50 p.m. Tinsley has played a vital role in the success of the Dave Matthews Band, providing that unique sound that has propelled the jam band to international fame with such hits as “Ants Marching” and “Everyday.” The band is currently working on its seventh album, scheduled to be released this summer.
