LeRoi interpolates Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" on the studio version of this song, and Dave has sung the corresponding lyrics on nearly every Dave & Tim version (he initially sang the first line incorrectly as "...only fools fall in love" instead of "...only fools rush in"). This interpolation happened on a handful of full-band versions over the years, and has been included in nearly every performance since 2006.

The lyrics printed in the liner notes of Before These Crowded Streets omit the fourth verse and third chorus.
