This album was recorded by Dave and Mark Roebuck in 1989–90 but was not given an official release until 2005. The original cassette release was more of a demo tape than a proper album, and when it failed to garner the attention of New York record labels, Roebuck dropped the project.

The song "Stillborn Child" is said to have been on the original demo, and a clip was available online prior to the 2005 release. The song was not on the final tracklist, though, and the liner notes make no mention of it. If it was indeed on the original issue, it's unclear where it was placed in the tracklist.
