Description
The Whisky has been known world-wide as the the birthplace of the go-go girl and for introducing Jim Morrison and the Doors to the world as the house band until there were fired for the patricidal and incestual references in their debut performance of "The End." This club was the second of the franchise when it opened on Sunset Strip in 1964 (the first opened in Chicago in 1958). DMB played a two night stand here in 1994, but both setlists are unknown as no recordings from the show are extant. These shows are notable because at the time the all-but-unknown and future ATO recording artist David Gray opened for them.
